Nearly a dozen marinas dot the shores of Lake Lanier, with dock services, boat sales, and even restaurants onsite. For an excellent breakfast, lunch or dinner on the water, stop by Aqualand Marina and Gainesville Marina, which are among the most popular and largest marinas on the lake. 

Many properties on Lake Lanier have private docks maintained by homeowners, where boats and jet skis are kept for quick and easy access. There are also numerous new residential developments with larger community docks, such as Harbour Point, High Pointe, and the ultra luxurious Marina Bay. In these communities, many residents choose to drive golf carts to the dock to access their boats.
